Greene County cross country teams ran at the Gilbert Invitational on the ISU course on Monday, Aug. 22, and at the West Central Valley Invitational on the 5×80 golf course on Thursday, Sept. 1.
Gilbert: The Gilbert girls team crossed the finish line in first place while Dallas Center-Grimes boys were first. Greene County girls finished sixth and the boys were 13th.
Olivia Hansen clocked a time of 23:17 to lead the Rams and finish 18th in the girls section. The first Ram to finish the boys’ race was Nick Killion in a time of 22:16 for 113th place.
In the girls race, times and places after Hansen were Bailey Cunningham, 23:22, 20th; Izzy Barvard, 28:05, 79th; Ashlee Harmeyer, 28:05, 80th; Kassie Lamoureux, 30:12, 118th; Emily Bettey, 31:14, 130th; Regan Lamoureux, 31:43, 139th; Kirsten Lamoureux, 33:30, 147th; and Savannah Parker, 34:03, 153rd.

In the boys race, times and places after Killion were Brian Hardaway, 25:08, 181st; Nathan Kennedy, 26:01, 194th; Sergio Perez, 26:46, 205th; and Jacob Hueser, 34:06, 231st.

West Central Valley: The Panorama girls team claimed first place while Nodaway Valley boys topped the male teams. Greene County girls were third and the boys finished seventh.
Olivia Hansen ran a good race, finishing seventh in a time of 21.23. Bailey Cunningham placed 13th in 23.32. Both runners earned medals. Other finishes were Bravard, 24:32, 24th; Harmeyer, 24:33, 25th; Kassie Lamoureux, 24:33, 25th; Regan Lamoureux, 28:46, 48th; Parker, 29:36, 50th; Bettey, 30:30, 52nd; Kirsten Lamoureux, 30:37, 54th; and Emma Larson, 33:48, 58th.

Top runner for the Ram boys was Nick Killion who finished 36th in 19:58. All Greene County runners posted either season best or personal record times.
